Our Story
Ridgepoint Technologies was founded by John Roeser, a cybersecurity leader with more than 25 years of experience building and protecting enterprise organizations. That experience spans Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, global restaurant brands, industrial services portfolios, and technology platforms — environments where security failures have real operational and financial consequences.
The idea behind Ridgepoint is straightforward: most small and mid-sized businesses face the same security challenges as large enterprises, but they do not have access to the same caliber of leadership. A company with 100 employees faces ransomware, phishing, compliance requirements, and vendor risk just like a company with 10,000 — but they cannot justify a $250K+ CISO salary to address it.
Ridgepoint exists to close that gap. We bring enterprise-grade cybersecurity thinking to the organizations that need it most, through advisory services that are practical, actionable, and built on frameworks that work.
Enterprise cybersecurity program development and oversight for a global quick-service restaurant brand with thousands of locations worldwide.
Security leadership for a Fortune 500 manufacturing and automotive technology company with global operations.
Cybersecurity strategy and program management across a portfolio of industrial services companies spanning multiple business units.
Security leadership for technology-driven logistics and delivery platforms operating at scale.
How We Work
We do not manage networks, sell hardware, or run help desks. We provide strategic cybersecurity guidance — vendor-neutral recommendations based entirely on what is best for your organization.
We believe every conversation should start with insight, not a pitch. Our complimentary Ridgepoint Spotter scan gives you real data about your security posture before we ever discuss engagement terms.
Cybersecurity is already complex enough. We translate technical risk into business language that leadership teams, boards, and procurement officers can act on confidently.
We educate and empower — we do not use scare tactics to sell services. Our programs are built on established frameworks (NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls v8) because structure produces results.
No product commissions. No resale agreements. When we recommend a tool or vendor, it is because it is the right fit — not because we profit from the sale.
Our deliverables, documentation, and engagement style are designed to meet the standards expected by government procurement officers, school boards, and municipal leadership.
